Learn more about Isla Mujeres
Zip across turquoise waters on a ferry to this island paradise where golf carts replace taxis and time slows to a tropical crawl. Playa Norte's powdery white sand and shallow waters make for perfect swimming conditions even for the most hesitant paddlers. At Garrafon Natural Reef Park, snorkel among rainbow-colored fish that seem utterly unimpressed by your presence. The sea turtle sanctuary offers close encounters with these ancient mariners who've been navigating these waters since dinosaurs roamed. Downtown's vibrant streets burst with family-run restaurants serving fresh ceviche at prices that'll make you wonder why you ever eat anywhere else. For the best sunset view, head to the island's southern tip where the lighthouse stands sentinel over crashing waves.

Hotel Playa la Media Luna, Isla Mujeres
"The hotel was nice, and watching sea turtles nest every night is a huge plus but the beach is not good for swimming as it's mostly Coral. The pool is right on the beach and was not bad but I don't believe they ran the pumps the whole time we were there so there were things accumulating including flies on the surface. It's very close to pretty much everything on playa norte."
Rocamar Hotel Panoramico Isla Mujeres
"For the last 25 years, I’ve always thought about staying here and never got around to it. This trip I stayed there for four nights. My room overlooked the ocean and with the balconydoors open I could hear the waves almost coming into my room. Each balcony is equipped with a hammock to lay and just enjoy the sound of the ocean and the breeze. Wonderful sunrise. The hotel is several blocks straight up from the ferry. It is very close to a number of hotels. It has a small private pool, which was well maintained. The place is very clean limits, towels, soap, etc. are provided, but the old lady is beginning to sort of show her age but still I would highly recommend the state of just for the view and the sounds. I found the staff to be quite helpful in that morning cup of coffee downstairs was well appreciated."

"From the moment you walk in your greeted with a smile, whether they speak English or Spanish they are always very helpful. The rooms are clean fresh nice and cool filled with air-conditioning when you need to cool off, The beach is spectacular !!! The breakfast is where you begin each day no matter what! Try a carrajio... enjoy the soft sand and hot sun. Mamita's burgers around the corner, and Machacha spot for live music both phenomenal !! El Zorro for trips, scooters. Ask for Angel... de regreso"
Chichis and Charlies Beachfront
"The taxi can only take you so far and then you have to get out and drag your luggage through the sand to the reception area to check in. It was very difficult to drag the luggage. This was not made clear on Expedia and was very disappointing."
Almare, a Luxury Collection Resort, Isla Mujeres Cancun Adults
"Food was excellent! Beach was great! But there were no hot water in the shower. Only warm water. Presdure in the shower was very low. There wasnt a single hook in the bathroom. So towel for shower we has to put on the toilet.Waiting for breakfast at Boca restaurant was quite a while.Waiting for the boat in Cancun Marina was almost 2 hours. Steam room at the spa didnt work. Elevator to roof top was broken for 2 days out of 5 day we stayed at resort. For the price $920 per night I expected more."
Ixchel Beach Hotel
"This was my first time in Isla Mujeres and I loved this hotel! The staff was extremely helpful, they helped arranged taxi services, and the beach chairs and umbrellas saved me. They also provided daily room cleaning and it was excellent, I would definitely recommend them and stay here again."
