We arrived earlier than check in time at 12. We started of with asking if it was possible to check in earlier or if we could leave our bags and come back later. The guy in the desk showed us to the room and we paid for one night at the same time. Wich was nice since we had a long bus ride the night before and just wanted to rest instead of strolling around Sucre, waiting to check in.
The room itself was not that nice. It had two beds that weren't comfortable and you could feel and hear the springs in the mattress. Behind the beds were lamps and behind my friends bed there was an exposed wire. When he tried to turn the lamp on there was a large bang and a flash. Lucky none of us came in contact with the wire. There were no hot water in the showers even if they advertised there was. The wifi was on and off during our stay and most of the time it couldn't load a YouTube video of the lowest quality. The bathrooms did provide toilet paper but barely any soap and no towels were provided.
When it was time for check out the guy at the front desk said we needed to pay for our stay. When we had already paid. He then said that we needed to pay for a full night since we checked in early. We tried to explain that we had talked to the last guy about it, he said that he doesn't speak English and that we still needed to pay. We promptly refused and both he and I got quite upset.
