The Millennium Gate Museum is a history museum on 17th Street with a massive collection that focuses on American and Georgian history. Inside its 12,000 square feet of gallery space, you'll find a massive and fascinating collection of artefacts and exhibits dating back as far as the pre-Columbian Native Americans.

Anyone interested in history will find fun at this museum, but the architecture and imposing nature of the arch itself is sure to impress enthusiasts. It generally takes about an hour or 2 to explore everything this museum has to offer.

While there's plenty to see in the Millennium Gate Museum, a few of their offerings stand out. The 21st Century Interactive Gallery is impressive and showcases how philanthropy efforts have changed the city over time. This was established in partnership with the Interactive Media Technology Centre at Georgia Tech.
