Freret’s main drag is Freret Street, located between Jefferson Avenue and Napoleon Avenue. Freret Street is the home of many of the neighborhood’s most popular restaurants, bars, shops, and entertainment spots. You'll find plenty of lodging options in the area to stay close to the action.
Public transport in the Freret area includes the historic St. Charles Avenue Tram Line, and New Orleans bus lines. Many of the local hotspots in Freret are also within walking distance of each other. Freret is located less than 15 minutes from New Orleans famed Bourbon Street, a hub of nightlife, dining, and excitement.
