Atlanta History Center highlights

At the Atlanta History Center, the highlights are always the central permanent exhibitions. You'll find nine sections in total, each with something special to offer. For example, you can check out the Bobby Jones Story to learn more about the most famous golfer in Georgia, or you can explore the American Civil War section with its numerous artifacts.

In addition to the historical features, you'll also find the Mary Howard Gilbert Memorial Quarry Garden with vibrant flora you can explore. Olguita's Garden may be more to your liking if you especially enjoy flowering fragrant plants and water features.

Good to know when visiting Atlanta History Center

Before you head to the Atlanta History Center, there are some factors you'll want to keep in mind. Several events are often held here, so check the calendar before your visit. Most of the time, they're talks with authors, but you'll also find educational opportunities for kids.

When you're visiting this history center, you'll find yourself close to several other prominent attractions in the city. Frankie Allen Park is just a short distance to the east with downtown being a few miles south. Head north, however, and you can reach the Georgia Audubon.
