We had an incredible experience at Porto Playa. From the moment we arrived we felt so welcome and comfortable. The room was gorgeous. We had the penthouse so it was HUGE with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. We had room to spread out and have our own space. The pool is gigantic and so nice to swim in and the hot tubs are also lovely. The staff was so friendly and gracious. It was a pretty slow week so we had the place mostly to ourselves and it was very quiet. I will definitely return.

Great staff but we were withou electricity and water form2 days

We stayed for 6 wonderful nights in a 2BR penthouse. Staff were wonderful, A/C and WiFi worked great. The kitchen had just about everything you could need. Bedrooms were very comfortable and bathrooms very nice. The public spaces were always well maintained. We loved all of the furnished outdoor spaces, 2 on the main level and the amazing rooftop patio with a hot tub, BBQ, palapa and ocean views! Book a penthouse and you will not be disappointed....Word of warning though, there are a LOT...

I really enjoyed my stay at Posada Sian Kaan. Our stay was in April 2016. I have been traveling to the area for the past 10 years. I wasn’t looking for an extravagant or luxurious hotel. This is such a great location to base your time in Playa out of. Yea, there are a couple clubs down the street so if your are sensitive to bass then it might not be for you. Then again most of Playa might not be for you. This is a bustling downtown location. But honestly we didn’t have any issues with noise. It’s noticeable yes but you can sleep just fine. I stayed at Kinbe Hotel from Feb 17 - Feb 24 2021 and really enjoyed my stay. The location is perfect -- two minutes walking from the beach and right on the main street with all the bars and restaurants. The rooms are spacious -- both the bedroom and bathroom. American style hotel. Cleaning service every day, very well taken care of, comfortable bed. The room had everything I needed! The rooftop pool and lounge was amazing. The location is super close to shops and stores, and a few minutes walk from the beach. Felt very safe and secure.

La Pasión is a gem ! It is an older hotel with only 60 rooms , but it is charming. Located fronting the Plaza Municipal, which on Friday-Sunday hosts a market with food and items. Breakfast at adjoining restaurant is available only to guests of the hotel who prepay, and is well worth the price. The restaurant opens later in the day to the public and features mostly Spanish food , not Mexican. 2 small pools in the lush courtyard, and 1 rooftop pool. From the outside doesn't look like much but once inside its beautiful with a koi pond and pool that runs in the center of the hotel complex. The rooms are really nice with a full kitchen. And it came with a personal jacuzzi outside by the front entrance and steps away from the main pool. Bad part is they close main door after 10pm and have to go thru front desk office.

First time staying in Playa del carmen and we stumbled upon this gem. This hotel is on 10 Ave and 12th street which is literally at the center of it all. You are across the street from CocoBongo, two blocks from the beach, and one block from 5th Ave where all the shops and food places are.
