This hostel has both pros and cons. Please be aware before you book.
Starting with cons first:
The hostel is in the third floor of an old building with no elevators. If you are carrying heavy luggage, think again. There are about 90 stairs to climb.
The mattress is soft and of good quality but you can feel the ribs of the bed below the mattress. My sleep here was not entirely comfortable (and I am quite heavy - the lean ones will not feel this!)
The washing machine is a domestic model and there is no drier. You need to dry clothes in the attic for which you will be provided access.
Now, the pros:
Staff: the folks were extremely friendly and caring. They make you feel at home. In fact, one of them carried my suitcase up the floors and another one had folded my clothes from the attic.
Location: Very close to the old city squares and has great connectivity to any part of the city
Convenience: There are a lot of eating out places, a superstore, a super-pharmacy, and a few convenience stores nearby
If you are looking for a cosy, economical place to stay and do not mind the stairs, go for it
