I recently spent 3 nights at 'The Lake Garden', Nay Pyi Taw (M-Gallery Collection) for work related reasons. The hotel itself is pleasant and the surroundings beautiful, however some of the staff I had interactions with were unable to understand basic English which made ordering food, changing money, directions to land marks etc. difficult. (although there is not much to see in Nay Pyi Taw itself)
With reference to the hotel room itself (Deluxe Suite - Balcony) it was a decent size, though the pillows are HARD...., the Air-con did not work despite repeated requests for a tech to deal with the issue, the complimentary sugar snacks left as a gift on the coffee table, along with the fruit bowl appeared like they had been sitting there for sometime. (they were also not changed while I was there). There are also mozzies in the rooms, plenty of those which will no doubt keep you awake. The hot water also takes sometime to kick in, so be patient.
The breakfast is good though, and try the Italian restaurant in the hotel which serves great pizza's and plenty of cold local beer.
