We are a family of four, all adults and two with extensive experience traveling in Latin America. We had booked this hotel on Expedia a month before, but when we arrived, the hotel did not have our booking (although they confirmed our printed confirmation was correct) and said they could not accommodate us for the second night of our stay. So, instead of spending our afternoon hiking, we spent part of it looking for another place to stay. The hotel staff took us to two other posadas in the area, but they were in bad locations, right by the highway, and without ambiance. Meals at Posada San Rafael were mediocre - dry fish for dinner, bland white toast at breakfast. There were traffic noises all night. Overall, an overpriced disappointment.
