One night in Hamburg
Room was clean but tired/dated. No air con but windows opened. There was no bedside light , or light switch by the bed. Only 2 sockets in the room and a table light (not near the bed) was plugged into one. Bed was firm, pillows very soft. Very good shower. Limited breakfast selection but it was enough. Staff were lovely and we were able to leave our bags before we checked in.

Great location close to central station, lots of food and dining options in the area, the hotel itself doesn’t have AC and there was no wifi in our room which was frustrating. The breakfast was OK, cold cut meats and cheese, fruit and cereals, coffee and tea which is fine.

We stayed for one night on our way to Copenhagen. The property is well managed, elevator is a bit small but working as it's supposed to be, room and bathroom are clean. Mattres is in a good condition. Our room was facing the opposite of the Hbf and it was nice and quiet in the evening.

Traveling with one teen, the hotel was mainly clean with a very nice breakfast. Our room opened onto the very busy street, and since the weather was very hot we needed the window open so it was very loud late into the night with people yelling, throwing bottles, and sirens. There was no fan or refrigerator, the single beds were very narrow with barely any space between them. The bathroom was very small with no window so a shower resulted in high humidity in the room. On the plus side the location was near to the train and city center with many restaurant choices so it was convenient for sightseeing.

Good value for the location. Mere steps from the Hamburg main train station and a host of attractions, including the charming St. Georg neighbourhood. Very quiet rooms that are basic but comfortable. Without a doubt, it is the worst hotel we have stayed in in our lives. Worst of all was the rude and impolite treatment of the gentleman at the reception. He was rude, spoiled and did not give us a solution to the problem. We reserved a Triple Comfort room with a sofa bed included for three adults, and upon entering the small room it only had two beds. That was all! We asked to be moved to a room for three people and they told us that the hotel was full. Finally they brought a small bed that hardly fit in the small room and made it difficult for us to move inside it. Our son had to sleep in that uncomfortable and old bed that was right next to the heater. They never solved our problem. But the rude and impolite treatment of the reception employee will be unforgettable. Never stay in this hotel.

This is my second stay in a Novum Hotel in Hamburg. This hotel is perfect for single and accompanied travellers. 2 minutes from the central railway station and there are many eating places in the neighbourhood. The hotel is quiet and the breakfast is delicious.
