Room was super awesome, updated and great modern touches in the bathroom. I liked the Art Deco style lobby. The staff was super nice and helpful when we really needed them to be! The only thing that leaves me to take off a star is that the 3 flights of tiny stairs were a bit much for all of our stuff! But we would totally come again. Great location near a super market and fun food choices. The hotel is located right off a big walking mall and behind a big church. It was awesome to hear the church bells on the hour. Not a very far walk from Grand Place.
Very good location. high recomment But no elevator
The staff was very friendly and the room very nice. It looked like the bathroom was brand new. The downside of the hotel was mainly that it was not children friendly. We had asked in our booking if we could have a travel cot for our 1 year old soon, they never replied, so we just had our fingers crossed that they would have one when we showed up. Luckily they did have one. Although we had made the booking for 2 adults and one baby well in advance they gave us a room on the 3rd floor and there was NO lift!!! Which meant that we had to carry our 15kg heavy son up and down the stairs several times a day. It would have been nice if the staff had been more accommodating with a room on the 1st floor. Also the hotel did not have a highchair for the breakfast buffet. Nice hotel, but I would not recommended to travelers with small children or people with difficulties walking up stairs.
Staff were pleasant and helpful. Room was well sized and clean. You'll need to be prepared for stairs. Very good bar with lovely art nouveau decoration, but it closes before 10:00pm. Not far from tourist centre of Brussels, shops even closer, easy to pop back to between day and evening.
The hotel is small but the lobby is beautiful, the breakfast and the location were excellent, the room was very simple with no view, but clean and confortable, all in all our stay was great, except for the unfortunate fact that we've been robbed just near the hotel's entrance, in our first morning when my friend was smoking. After that the staff assisted us with all the needs, and we are grateful to them for their assistance, but when I asked if this happened in the past the answer was that it did happen just a month before. So be extremely careful, the hotel is located near a crowded shopping street and there are many dubious by-passers such as beggars and bum- or junkie-looking people of non-European origins (the man who robbed us introduced himself to us as Morroccan) who try to befriend with you, asking for a lighter or a cigarette and showing interest in your country of origin. Be warned!
I booked non smoking room and according to tge hotel all rooms ate non smoking room. But when I arrived at 4 pm room was not ready and stink of the smoking! They provided another room instead. Common toilet at reception have room for a big improvement for cleanliness. Room cleanliness in acceptable. No mini bar provided as advertised. Location is perfect for a short stay traveler who needs to do shopping, close to activities, and nice walking distance to places in town.
Hôtel propre, chambre confortable. Seul bémol, l’horloge de l’église qui sonne dès 7h
The building was old, the a creak in a floorboard and the outside sound was noisy.
Good location and pretty cozy hotel with the great staff. Definitely highly recommend.
