I am a veteran widow and retired educator. Due to health issurs, I had requesting a room on 1st floor near front desk. Arrived and reiterated my request. Was told that, quote, "nothing is cheap", by one of front desk workers, voice tone of attitude was louder than necessary presented a " take it or leave it personna". Was told because I had already booked, I could not be accommodated, although there were rooms still available.
Room I was assigned was for handicapped. No tub. Which was very inconvenient. I was unable to tub bath or shower. bc I am not handicapped and wet slippery bathroom floors, in this handicapped room, presented a greater fear issue for slipping and falling. Cold not get curtains facing the street traffic to close and had to use a safety pin to try n secure privacy for both nights stay. Also covers n esp. pillows on beds, were extra wrinkled and had the appearance of having been used.
In the past, choosing this hotel and its accommodations has always been a top priority for my stay in Pensacola, however in the last year or so, the " "quality" of service in the main areas needs to return to its reputational standards.
