Our overall stay at Red Roof Inn on 11/30/24 was very satisfactory, after a horrible check-in experience. When my daughter and I entered the lobby there was no sign of any employee. There was a bell, so I rang it. After three or four minutes of waiting, I rang it a second time. After another few minutes I rang it a third time. Finally, frustrated, I hollered out "Hello does anyone work here?" very loudly. Shortly after that a man entered the lobby from somewhere down the hall, carrying an open laptop. He did not look at us, let alone make eye contact, and did not greet us or apologize for the wait. He made it obvious that we were interrupting him. He checked us in quickly, not even stating the room number. I have never had a less pleasant interaction.
