The hotel stay was impacted by one major issue. My partner and I stayed for two nights during our vacation. On our first night, we were very tired from taking an early morning flight and were looking forward to sleeping in. Upon arrival, the receptionist informed us that fire alarm tests would take place on both mornings of our stay. At 8:30 a.m., a loud noise, sirens, and a voice giving instructions inside our room startled us awake. The volume was so high that it felt like having a megaphone in our ears. The same thing happened the following morning. Our goal of having two days of rest was completely ruined by these fire alarm tests. Had we known this in advance, we would not have booked this hotel.
Additionally, I expected the hotel to offer some kind of compensation for the inconvenience, but the receptionist dismissed my concerns, saying that a 9 a.m. test was not early and implying that I should wake up earlier while on vacation.
Another issue was the cleanliness of the room. On the first day, I had to request hand soap because it was not provided. On the second day, the bathroom trash bin was not emptied, the appropriate number of towels was not replaced, and the carpet in the room was noticeably dirty.
On a positive note, I would like to highlight the excellent service provided by the bartender at the hotel bar, who was very kind and attentive.
