DISSAPOINTING Stay at Jewel Grande Montego Bay
I had high expectations for my stay at Jewel Grande Montego Bay, but unfortunately, it did not live up to the hype. The experience was disappointing for several reasons:
• The water in my room was cold for 4 out of the 5 days of my trip, which was unacceptable for a resort of this caliber. Despite paying $2,200 for my stay, I was only offered a $150 credit for this major inconvenience.
• The buffet was only available for breakfast, leaving limited and poor dining options for the rest of the day. Restaurants had makeshift outdoor cooking facilities, which were unusable when it rained.
• Bars closed at 1 a.m., and they were not conveniently located in every building, making it inconvenient to enjoy what was supposed to be an all-inclusive experience.
• Room service was terrible—an hour-long wait for a salad and burger that was subpar. The burger meat was low-quality, and the Caesar salad lacked Caesar dressing all five nights.
• On a positive note, the hotel was clean, and the staff was polite, but this didn’t make up for the overall disappointing experience.
The best part of my stay was the view, but for the price, I expected so much more. I cannot recommend Jewel Grande Montego Bay, and I hope they address these issues for future guests.
