We stayed at Blackmore farm for one night, in the West Bedroom. The manor house is a 15th century grade I listed building, beautifully and authentically decorated, but with modern day comforts. We had a large room with a 4 poster bed, fire place, tv, seating area, and a lovely big bathroom. Downstairs, there's an amazing dining room, with a large fire place, 20 seater table and many 15 century curiosities. All this makes Blackmore farm memorable, but in my view, what makes it exceptional is the hosts, Ian and Ann. We were given a very warm welcome, with a roaring log fire, tea and biscuits. We were going to walk to the nearby malt shovel inn for dinner, but the road was flooded due to rain, so Ian gave us a lift to the pub and picked us up after dinner! Next morning, there was a fantastic breakfast waiting for us, made by Ann, all from local organic produce. It was only a brief visit, but a very happy one! Thank you Blackmore farm, we will visit again.
