Hotels.com Green Nomads Hostel Review
I loved my stay at Green Nomads Hostel! It was my first hostel stay and I'm told we were quite spoiled. Firstly, the view is incredible! We spent most of our time relaxing in the hammocks enjoying the view. Since it is quite hot, we also spent a lot of time in the small pool, which is well cared for and clean. The included breakfast was granola (or cereal), yogurt (or milk), fresh fruit, a hard boiled egg, toast, juice, and of course coffee. The hostel is well located and an easy 5-7 min walk from the bus station (if you don't want to walk there are lots of little three person taxis you can take).
Things to keep in mind:
- the hostel does not accept credit card, so make sure you have cash with you
- there is no air conditioning, but there are lots of fans so we were still comfortable sleeping at night
- Beds tend to be a little on the hard side, but that has been my experience most places I have stayed in Colombia
- The showers seem to only have one temperature and it was pretty cold.
- English speaking is limited in this town, so it helps if you prepare yourself with a few Spanish phrases. Our Spanish is extremely limited and we were able to get by just fine because everyone is very friendly.
