We picked this hotel as the reviews were excellent and we wanted somewhere with a pool for a week, to explore Lake Garda. We didn't realise quite how much of a package holiday/family orientated hotel this was. Loads of kids running round so quite noisy and very much geared up for the package holiday.
We had a garden suite which was newly refurbished, very spacious, extremely clean and relatively quiet (no-one above or below). It suited us well. It was expensive, but it was a suite and we were paying for all the 'entertainment' facilities available.
The one thing we were not impressed with were the extras that are usually included with a hotel room - you had to pay for wi-fi, safe (very small), shuttle bus, pool towels. We travel a lot and have never had to pay for those extras. They are always included.
Breakfast was a good choice, but again very noisy with kids running round in a very large space to cater for a huge number of people.
Reception staff were lovely, helpful and friendly always.
Location was great - a bit out of the centre so a 15-20 minute walk, but that suited us fine.
Great restaurant over the road, and fab pizza place slightly down the hill towards town on the left.
