The property was very beautiful, with literally huge rooms. The staff was also great, very friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately, for a number of reasons, the amenities were very poor. The cafe/restaurant had no food and only served beer and powdered coffee. I had one breakfast of fried eggs, for which I had to wait until after 8AM and had to pay $5 (which they did end up erasing from the bill at checkout). The management decided to do renovations, including cutting stones (extremely noisy) in the morning. I ended up having to scream at the workers to stop - which made me feel very bad. The market had been moved nearby, which was interesting enough but made the area very dirty with poor access. At the end, everything was blamed on Covid, an easy target to shift responsibility ...
Since I liked the property and the staff, I wouldn't mind staying there again, but certainly under very different conditions.
