Very clean, good room, good linens, excellent shower.
Weak Wifi. Street noise can be distracting. No restaurant within walking distance, not an interesting part of town unless you need a hospital.
Breakfast is from 8 to 9:30 and is bread only. No elevator, no porter.
Very unpleasant receptionist/manager (Selbi), considers phone calls and her lunch delivery more important than dealing with guests. Time consuming check-in.
She and the Tourist Tax issue were the reasons we did not stay longer and moved to a much better hotel in Seremban center.
The Malaysian Government instituted a RM 10 Tourist Tax per room per night for foreigners only. This went into effect on September 1, 2017.
To date only a few thousand hotels registered with the government to collect this tourist tax and to pass it on to government.
To collect this tax, the hotel will have to post the proper permit on the counter, NOT their own statement.
If they are not registered with the government, they are NOT authorized to collect the Tourist Tax.
At this particular hotel we encountered this problem, and when we refused to pay the RM 10 because they could not provide the registration, they did not insist any more for us to pay !!
