We were extremely excited to stay at this hotel for a short vacation as the first trip after our twins were in the Nicu; however our excitement was quickly taken away when we were met with some of the staff at this hotel. Many of the staff were wonderful but unfortunately, we had the displeasure of encountering Cheryl and Pat. Both employees did not greet you upon entering the lobby and had headphones in (while watching tv and doing homework) to the point that we had to repeat ourselves multiple times when asking a question. We also had a stroller that would not fit through the front door without opening the second door that was latched and not once were we offered assistance in opening the latched, 100 year old door. They then gave us a “lesson” on how to properly close the door after we left with the stroller and blamed us for a guest not being able to get in the night prior. Had Cheryl and pat not had their headphones in, I’m sure they would have heard the guest asking for assistance with the jammed door.
In addition, they state they are a dog friendly hotel but when our little one who is 15 pounds and lovely barked a couple times, they called us back from dinner and gave us a hard time. When we arrived back to the hotel 10 minutes later, she was asleep in the room. Even though some of the staff offered for us to leave her there the next day, we felt forced to put our girl in a doggy dog care the next day knowing Cheryl and pat were there that night and we did not trust
