We recently stayed at The Regatta Inn and had a mixed experience that I'd like to share. Upon checking in, we were greeted with a warm, friendly welcome, which set a positive tone for our visit. However, we quickly learned that the room we had booked was flooded the day before. The staff was in the process of removing humidifiers from the property due to the incident and offered us a switch to a different, smaller room. While this new room had a lovely river view, we had originally booked one with a garden view, which was a bit disappointing.
Despite the initial hiccup, the location of the inn was fantastic. We enjoyed the peaceful surroundings and were thrilled to spot dolphins swimming just ten minutes after unpacking our bags. The serene atmosphere made for a relaxing getaway, and the beautiful sunsets were a highlight of our stay.
One aspect we were particularly looking forward to was the garden tub, but unfortunately, it was not operational during our visit. This was a letdown, as we had anticipated using it for a romantic evening.
On a positive note, the bedrooms were clean and well-appointed with amazing sheets, blankets, and cozy bathrobes. However, be aware that there is a $30 amenities charge, which felt a bit steep given the circumstances surrounding our stay.
