The front staff was incredibly nice and helpful. I spoke to at least three different people during my stay.
The first room they put us in, we were overwhelmed by a musty mildew-y smell. The room itself was dingy and dark but fine. I went up to the front office to ask for air freshener to spray in the room and instead she switched rooms, which was above and beyond. They put us in a handicapped room which was updated and fresher looking. But as we walked around we noticed we were slipping a lot. I took a towel to try to wipe down the floor which didn't help except to spread whatever was on the floor and where I cleaned, the towel was black. I went back up front, and asked for some cleaning towels and that was it. They asked what for and I let them know the floor was super slick. She said housekeeping used too much old English. I used about 6 towels and got as much up as I could but it was clear they didn't sweep or mop prior to old English application. I didn't say anything about the filthiness of the floor but figured they'd find out when they cleaned the room and found multiple black stained towels. Nothing to make a huge fuss about, it was a motel 6, but it should be noted a handicap room shouldn't potentially cause more injury. For the most part it was a pleasant stay as we only needed a place to sleep but I have been in MUCH NICER motel 6's and this one could use a little improvement.
