Reception was very kind and friendly, and breakfast was nice. Only downside was the room key as the keys didn’t work many times and we had to go to the reception to reset the keys.

This property is no longer in business. We were quite surprised that we were allowed to book here to begin with, even more surprised that we not notified that it is no longer open. Thankfully there was a note on the door directing us to another hotel. Expedia needs to remove this hotel from its list of options.

I booked the Grand staircase Inn. When I arrived there was a note at the door that they are having maintenance problems and the Hotel is closed, my booking moved to Red Ledges. This property is in a bad shape ,dirty per se, also the room. I would definitely have expected an upfront information and a choice. The way GSI looks this maintenance is not finished in a long time so upfront information would definitely have been possible . I got the impression they deliberately didn't inform people to move them to the the Red Ledges which would not have happened if anyone had a choice .

We got to the property this afternoon and found the motel closed due to broken water pipes. Eve tentatively this happened a few weeks ago. We WERE NOT NOTIFIED BY EXPEDIA.There was a note on the door directing us back to the next town to another motel, which is very nice. Expedia this is your second screw up this week. Grand Staircase was closed!!!! There was a handwritten note on the office door that reservations had been moved to Red Ledges hotel in Tropic UT but no directions!!!! We had no cell service, no Internet, and no way to ask anyone anything. Luckily as we drove toward Bryce Canyon, we found it. This hotel should be removed!!!
