Walked into main reception, greeted in a friendly manner given the room key and headed upstairs.
As soon as I walked into the room I was greeted by a strong smell. I walked into the bathroom and the smell was coming from the shower trap.
Went over to the bed and noticed mould on the window frames and damp/mould on the wallpaper by the wardrobe.
I was not happy to stay in this room for the amount I paid for it.
Went back down to reception when I mentioned what had happened I was apologised too but was told that there were no other rooms available.
I asked for a refund, but was only given £81.18 despite paying £90.75, I have reported this to hotel.com and did ask at the reception about the remainder but seemed to be dismissed. When I asked for suggestions of other hotels in the area I was given only 1 name, as soon as I looked them up they were also fully booked, so I left feeling incredibly stressed trying to find a hotel for the night
