Overpriced and terrible customer service
We stayed here for 2 nights and I would not recommend this hotel at all. Compared to many 5 stars hotels that we have visited, this is far overrated and will let you down. Main problem is service; we missed that particular feeling that only luxury hotels can give you. For £400 at night that is not acceptable. Some examples:
1- I asked for a hard pillow for my neck pain, and the reply was that I would be provided with one, depending on availability (!?). I did receive one, I was lucky enough!
2- Breakfast menu did not mention that eg some kind of eggs were available
3- one of the receptionist could barely understand or speak Italian or English
4-the glasses above breakfast area were covered with a huge plastic film likely because of leaks: that wasn’t a great view!
5-we were celebrating our anniversary and were not offered the bottle of Prosecco that the receptionist said was waiting for us
6- I had to wait a week and sent a couple of emails to Marco (front office supervisor), after making clear during our stay that we would expect a compensation. We were offered a stay at a convenient price after we told we would never come back. Brilliant!
