I was a "guest" at your Howard Johnson's in Houma on Fri and Sat evening this week.

To say this was a sheer and utter debacle is putting it mildly.
I arrive and have to argue with the front desk as the amount I booked on Hotels.com was $65 a night, and she was trying to charge me $180 a night.
Aside from the terrible stench in the elevator and my room, the TV also wasn't working.
However, I was not given a key to enter my room because the keys didn't work. I had to come to the front desk and ask for my room to be opened everytime I wanted to enter my room. All of this enough to demand a refund, but it gets even better.
Fast forward to Saturday.
I depart for my event at 6:30 am and return around 3 o'clock...exhausted, needing a shower, and in desperate need of sleep.
Now on Saturday, they can't get in any of the rooms AT ALL!!!!
All of my stuff for my evening event is STILL IN MY ROOM WHICH I CANNOT GET INTO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can't book another room because I need the crap out of MY ROOM!!
Now, I'm sitting in the lobby, missing my award dinner, because I can't access my room!!
I expect a FULL REFUND OF THIS CLUSTER!!!
I also expect a call confirming that this will be done AT ONCE.
I am copying my attorney on this email as I will 100% make a civil claim for failure to deliver and will then seek punitive damages on top of actual damages incurred.
