Hotel was updated and clean. The electronic card worked, but not my door. The clerk apparently understood the door was an issue, but let me get settled in for the night before I had another potential serious issue with the door before offering to let me move rooms. She should have explained the situation and let me decide up front if I wanted that room. I was settled in with a dog for only one night and it was getting late, so I didn't change rooms, but it was a big problem again in the morning. Grab and go breakfast didn't have any options in it that I could go eat. I have stayed at much cheaper hotels lately that had a free basic hot breakfast. major disappointment in Hampton Inn. The hot and cold water in the room was backwards and mismarked. Last pet friendly at an extra $50 a night is outrageous. Most hotels charge $20. Mine is a service dog, so there was no charge in the end, but $50 wow.
