Had 30 different run of the mill hotels to choose from within a ten mile area. Blah-hotels. Chain-hotels. Ick-hotels. I liked the website for the Lancaster Arts Hotel, and even though it was ten miles away from Columbia, decided to stay here. So glad we did! The girlfriend loved the eclectic style of the place, it is within walking distance to lots of restaurants, and the atmosphere of the rooms, lobby, and even the outside is great. To top it off, it’s no more expensive than the other hotels in the area - but worth SO much more!
A comfortable and clean hotel with a lot of character, as a converted warehouse. Very comfortable beds. Loved the high ceilings and exposed brick, artwork and large spacious room. Bathroom well designed. We stayed here for our anniversary and enjoyed the John J Jeffries restaurant which was excellent. Only down side was that the front desk staff was not properly wearing a mask (COVID is soaring in the county) and we were in an elevator with someone not wearing a mask at all. No indications outside the elevator that masks should be worn at all times. Use the stairs if you are not carrying luggage and don’t be offended if someone doesn’t ride in the elevator with you.... Self serve breakfast disappointing, but we are in a pandemic.
Really nice hotel in a good location.
Hate the parking situation. Pricy restaurant. Overall a wonderful place to stay.
We absolutely loved the hotel with a few minir complaints. The trash had not been emptied upom arrival. The shampoo and conditioner ran out while i was in the shower and it took 20 mins to bring replacements. The free breakfast was terrible, no eggs and everything was poor quality pre packaged stuff. I onow irs a concession to pandemic but nevertheless. I woyks return in a minute because the room was so fantastic
Front desk was helpful with late check in. Room was nice. Bed and pillows clean and comfy. Good location can walk to central square. Left car in hotel parking lot. Very convenient. Overall very nice experience.
It was our 1yr anniversary and we found this cute hotel and room that had a nice jacuzzi tub in the room. Upon arrival everything looked wonderful, room was clean. Once we turned in the water we learned otherwise. The water was brown and had sediment in it. The front desk said they had a pipe issue, to let it run till it clears but after an hour the sink and tub was still running brown. We spent a lot of money to get away for the night and couldn't even use the jacuzzi tub. Although the room was nice and clean we didn't get what we paid for.
Boutique type of hotel in an area of Lancaster that is walkable to restaurants and more. Old touches from restored building left throughout hotel and rooms, but still felt new and fresh. Restaurant is AMAZING- local farm to table ingredients. Worth the price. Will stay again.
Comfy and quiet. Will Definitely be back!
