This was our second time staying here. The first time was phenomenal, which is what prompted us to stay again. Unfortunately, we won’t return. The staff were professional and friendly, but communication was lacking. The pool was shut down the morning after we arrived for renovations. While there was a much smaller and less desirable pool available on site, it definitely dampened our vacation mood. If there had been any communication regarding the main pool not being available during our stay, I would have booked elsewhere. After long days of hiking and exploring the island, my wife and children wanted to relax at the pool. This wasn’t really possible as the only available pool was small and continuously occupied by teenagers who were constantly being inappropriate with their language and touching each other. We were almost at the end of our 8 day trip when we learned from another guest, rather than hotel staff, that we could use our hotel key to access another hotel’s pool about 10 minutes away walking. The lack of communication was frustrating. On top of that, for the first four or five days, I had to call for housekeeping at the end of each day when we’d return to our room. I honestly thought we’d return to fresh linens or at least clean towels so we could shower, something that’s typically taken care of by housekeeping in the middle of the day, but no. This was just not a good experience. I may one day give them another try, but it will not be on our next trip.
