Booked this at short notice for a weekend trip with partner and baby. Location and apartment upkeep itself was mostly fine (clean, modern and as shown in photos) but three major issues really affected our stay -
First, the fire alarm went off late on our first night. It was an intermittent but very loud beep which we looked up in an online manual for that model and read it means the alarm is faulty / old and needs to be replaced. We were really concerned about safety and knew we wouldn't get a decent sleep with it going off intermittently, but we couldn't switch it off.
More importantly (and the second major issue) - there is no way to contact the rental company outside of Mon-Fri 9-5pm. So any weekend emergency (like a faulty alarm, a leak, issue with key) is up to you to sort, or find new accommodation. We tried to sort it out via Hotels.com but they too told us they had no way to reach the company until Monday.
Lastly, we requested a child cot which we were told would be provided, but the cot in the apartment had no bedding (weren't told to bring any) and no mattress even. It was just the frame and the wooden base board. This *might* do for a temporary playpen for a baby who is sitting or standing, but is in no way safe to sleep. If we had known, we would have brought our own travel cot, but we were stuck with none.
Needless to say, it was a very sleepless weekend all around for parents and baby. Strongly recommend visitors to Belfast find a reputable rental instead.
