The hotel is fine and has nice views overlooking the marina.
My issue was with the check-in process.
I was told there was no single room available, as i had booked and confirmed, so they would upgrade me to a family room. I was not told that this would incur an extra charge. It was only after i checked out that i realised i had been charged £20 extra for the room. I did send an email asking for an explanation and a follow up reminder but have since not heard from their customer service which i find pretty poor. Not what i expected from the Celtic Manor group!
