When we arrived later in the evening, we were greeted by a large group of 20-somethings carrying on in the parking lot and foyer area of the hotel. There is a bar just off the foyer, and the people were filing in and out, yelling and being obnoxious. They didn't give us any trouble, but it was uncomfortable. The girl at the front counter seemed to know it was an unprofessional situation, but that there was nothing she could do about it.
We were able park our SUV and trailer sideways across many spots away from all other cars, and the front desk verified we was fine to park it there.
The hotel is older, and not fancy, but the room was clean. We immediately noticed that the fridge was not cold. Then we noticed the TV did not work. Issue was a bad power strip that would not turn on. I bypassed the strip and got the TV working. I could have gone back to the front desk and inquired about another power strip, but with that rowdy crowd I elected not to.
Surprisingly, we had a quiet night's sleep as our room was on the back side of the hotel, far from the bar. When we checked out in the morning, there was no one at the front desk to tell about the power strip issue. We dropped our room keycard in the box and left.
We canceled our reservation for the return trip through this area, and chose a different hotel.
