Impossible to get room cleaned, out of 4 days we had room cleaned twice. When calling operator kept receiving mixed messages (ie. at 5:30pm initially told all house keeping was sent home. Then received a call back at 5:35 that room will be cleaned after 6, from another operator. Result: room never cleaned). No room number sign despite several attempts to call one in, so we had to make a makeshift one. First day we used forks from the kitchen, still not washed and we’ve already checked out. Worst part is the hut/palapa reservation. Need to pay at least 10 dollars, and they’re always in the back. The front line is for owners and after that the “odd” numbers you have to pay 25 dollars for. To actually get your palapa you have to jump through hoops to reserve, then get a ticket, then find an attendant to set it up. The entire errand takes about 20 minutes. This is maybe the worst Marriott experience I’ve had and definitely the worst hotel experience in Aruba.
