I appreciate the effort the Guest Service Manager made to upgrade my room and invite me to the executive lounge during this stay. However, there are areas for improvement.
A colleague’s upgraded room had a strong smoke odor, forcing him to switch rooms. Unfortunately, the new room lacked basic toiletries, an oversight that shouldn’t happen. Housekeeping during my stay also fell short; my room’s trash wasn’t emptied, and cleaning seemed less thorough than before. My colleague remarked on this after joining me for a meeting.
The executive lounge, while appreciated, had a limited food selection and less experienced staff compared to other Renaissance locations, such as Bangkok. Additionally, breakfast quality and staff professionalism could improve. For instance, a staff member misunderstood an American guest’s request for “black coffee,” leading to unnecessary confusion.
I value the Renaissance brand and the convenient location of your hotel in Shenzhen. As a frequent guest, I hope these areas will be addressed before my next visit.
