Ibis Chur was quite basic, as expected, but it was clean and the hotel staff were polite, professional and helpful.
We stayed for one night, as a stopover to catch the Bernina Express, the following afternoon.
The hotel is a short bus journey from the train station. The hotel reception can give you free bus/tram vouchers, when you check in.
Old Town is worth a wander and look around. Get off the number 10,11 or 12 bus at the stop called ‘Malteser’. It’s pedestrianised and a nice, quiet area of Chur.
The breakfast was better than we expected. Cereals; bread / toast; eggs (that you boil yourself, to your taste); fruit; pastries; waffles, etc.
There aren’t many restaurants near to Ibis Chur so we opted for KFC, which is nearby.
We had a room on the fourth floor, which catered for the three of us (it can cater up to four people). The lift goes up to the third floor so you will have to climb stairs if you are on the fourth or fifth floor.
The bathroom was clean and the air on worked well.
For a one night stopover, Ibis Chur ticks the boxes needed.
