Due to flight cancellation, I made the hotel reservation last minute. Then, I called ahead to request their free airport shuttle. The driver arrived approx. 30 minutes later. Upon arrival, though, his shuttle was marked for a different hotel entirely. I asked for clarity but he didn't offer any so I chose not to get into his van. After he left, I called the hotel back and explained this. They apologized and stated they were actually borrowing a van from a different hotel. I responded with feedback that would have been helpful to know during my initial request. I asked if they could send the driver back to pick me up. They said they would. An hour went by and I called back for status. I was advised the driver should have already arrived and they would call his cell to check status. When they got back to me, I was advised to use a car share (Uber, Lyft) instead because the driver had chosen to pick up new arriving passengers instead. I was frustrated and asked them why he hadn't informed them earlier because I had been out there extensively at that point. They only apologized and repeated the suggestion that I take car share. Upon arrival to the hotel, I informed their front desk of my disappointment. It had taken over two hours for me to go less than 10 minutes from airport all because their driver decided I could wait. New/Different driver next morning was equally rude and noncommunicative but I got home eventually. Lastly, one of the room forks had hardened food stuck to it.
