Problem with internal communication. Because we were to arrive after midnight on 12/13 June, I phoned the motel around June 1 or 2 to explain that. I was assured someone would be at the desk even then. Someone called back that day to discuss this, again assured it was no problem. On afternoon of June 12, I was called by the Ponoka Western Budget telling me I had not checked in. I told them I was at Denver Airport, about to fly to Calgary, and referred to earlier phone communication about coming late. Again, assured that someone would wait for us. However when my wife and i arrived at 12:40 AM on 13th, door was locked, I had to call the phone, wait...seemed my message had not been communicated. Also, when checking out, we told staff we had not requested room with jacuzzi [and higher cost!], we were told that was due to booking via Expedia...which I don't recall doing, I thought I had communicated directly.
