At check-in, the long line clearly rattled the front desk attendant. She was rude & talked continually about lack of staff. She then gave us keys to rooms (I reserved two) that were already occupied, then told us the computer had glitched. Once in our room, we immediately realized it had not been cleaned since the last occupants. Trash cans were full, there was hair on the toilet, sink & bathtub. The couch pull-out linens had not been changed & there were multiple items found under it. Sadly, the second room was the same. When I approached the front desk, she gave me an all-purpose cleaner & cloth with the comment "Our head housekeeper will come get those when you are done." Said housekeeper overheard & went upstairs with me. She questioned where I saw hair & when shown replied with "Oh". She only wiped off the top of the toilet, and one obvious spot of dirt in the tub. She spent the entire time complaining about lack of staff & the new girl who works 2 jobs & can't clean thirteen rooms in one shift. So, I had to clean a room I was already paying too much for. As did our friends in the other room. (Physical disabilities of my friend prevent going somewhere else) At check-in I asked about the black plastic on the windows of the pool room & was told "They are painting". No mention of the pool being under construction. Our children were very upset. The only positives of this stay were the cleanliness of the breakfast area, & the kindness of the evening front desk gentleman.
