they did not have a disabled room, although i requested one. the man at front desk refused to make reasonable accomodations. he gave bad econolodge directions, couldn't find motel -"check in" was at a howard-johnsons, not travelodge as advertised. smart alec at front desk kept giving me bad directions to travelodge. he also checked me in, gave me a parking pass and room key. i noticed it said room 201. clerk assured me it was a 1st floor room. when i finally found the motel-no thanks to the clerk. i informed the clerk that room 201 was on the 2nd floor. i suggested his help getting my luggage to the 2nd floor and back down again in the morning would suffice until a room opened up on the first floor (he assured me a first floor room would be available in the morning). he said he couldn't leave the desk, although each time i had returned to the desk he was gone-within the office building and i had to wait on him to come back each time. i got a room across the street. i called the next morning only to find out they cancelled my entire reservation and illegally kept my money. in all i went by the ecolodge 7 times. i had go into the howard johnson check in office 5 times. i,m disabled and getting in and out my truck with my cane and then having to wait each time was a tremendous burden. i,m reporting them to my veterans association and the americans with disability act.
