Lovely historic home converted to small B&B. Location is perfect for exploring downtown Fredericksburg or visiting the Pacific War museum. Breakfast was delivered to our door each morning. The room was small but comfortable. We will stay at Evers House again!
Evers House is a beautiful historic home. Our room had high ceilings and original hardwood floors. The bed was super comfortable, the ac worked great, good water pressure in the shower, plenty of towels, quiet and private. We loved the breakfast in the picnic basket by our door every morning, the shady front porch, and hanging out by the fire pit under the big oak tree. Dedicated free parking for guests, 1 block to Main St Fredericksburg, we walked everywhere and rarely needed our car. We would definitely stay there again.
Beautiful room in a historical building. Tasteful upscale decor. Close to museum and Main Street. Unbelievable breakfast delivered daily to our door. This included orange juice, fruit, muffins, egg bites and even oatmeal between the two days in a picnic basket. I would definitely return.Very special place.
The room was very comfortable and close to the area we needed to be in. My only complaint is the shower head did not put out much water. The bed was very nice.
Loved our room at Ever's House! The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was so pretty and the bed was super plush and comfortable! The breakfast was simple but delicious!!! Not sure what they put on the little waffles but it was so good!
The only negative is that the floors must all be hardwood and we could hear the people above us moving around. If this type of thing is bothersome, you might want to choose a room on the upper floor. This wasn't a big deal to us and we would certainly stay there again!
A quaint and lovely property. The room was nicely decorated and appointed, with a comfortable bed and furnishings. A lovely basket with breakfast arrives at your door each morning. Very convenient access to Main St to many shops and restaurants. Overall an enjoyable stay.
Very clean and secure. Available parking on site! Very convenient to Main Street. Within walking distance of shopping, wine tasting and eating places. Highly recommended š
Picked this property for the price. I guess you can say you get what you pay for. The sheets has light stains so not sure if they couldn't get the out or never washed. Same with pillows. Hair on floor. Bed had metal frame so it made noise every time i moved. Rust stains in toilet. Noise from the street
The Evers House was such a great place to stay at. The room was so cute and cozy. Breakfast was delicious each day. I loved that it was walking distance to Main Street which has amazing restaurants and shops.
I reserviced a room based on the location (walking distance to the National Museum of the Pacific). I read reviews about this site and the site pictures. It appeared glorious. But the pictures are deceiving. Granted, it was close to the Museum. And indicated a breakfast (great pictures of a beautiful breakfast)! But I was soon informed it was only āComplimentaryā when I checking-in. I tried their breakfast just one, (It was a two-night stay). The āComplimentaryā breakfast turned out to be horrible (a basket of tasteless carbs-COLD OATMEAL, O J, & fruit) delivered to my door without a knock! I wonāt mention the room coffee machine.
This site was typical of old drafty historic establishments. Did I mention drafty! The front door didnāt exactly seal tight. Also, there were only a couple of electrical outlets that were usable near the bed. One Outlet (in the floor next to the bed) had two extension cord attached to it. One extension cord lead to a bedside table lamp. The lamp was plugged into the only working outlet at the end of the extension. The bedroom area (this was a two-room affair) has a ceiling-high single heat pump A/C unit located in the bedroom area. Itās not so great for heating the outer room (it was cold during my stay). The furnishings were a hodgepodge of castoff items. No real place to sit and eat breakfast! And there were pillows in abundance! But there was nowhere to put them but on the floor in a corner of the bedroom after clearing the bed.
