I’ve stayed at several Aloft hotels both personally and professionally, and this one didn’t meet the usual standard. I chose it for the brand and location. It wasn’t terrible, but there are things to note.
The location is great—walking distance to attractions and restaurants, and we felt safe. On-site security and parking lot patrol were a plus. Parking is paid (I knew this, just noting it).
Check-in staff were friendly, welcoming, and professional.
The hotel is aging, not run-down but could use a refresh. Only one elevator was working, and we waited over 20 minutes to leave—frustrating.
Beds were comfortable, and the room was clean and dust-free. However, the room layout is odd—the bathroom sink is open to the room, and the toilet/shower are behind a flimsy sliding door. No real privacy. The shower was hot with good pressure. Towels seemed like they were from dollar store, tiny and few. The AC wouldn’t go below 70, not a dealbreaker but noticeable. The iron was useless and the ironing board smelled. Only a small recycling bin—no trash can.
Housekeeping kept the room clean and restocked, but they tried to push us out before checkout.
Overall: 6/10. Book it if location matters or it’s cheaper than nearby options. Just don’t expect the usual Aloft experience—or $300/night value.
