This hotel has rats, roaches, and unresponsive management. I booked for one night in April because the price was okay and the cleanliness rating was pretty good, in fact it was anything but.
After arriving I left my bags in my room to get sunset photos. I came back, and feet from the door a giant cockroach landed on my neck. I freaked out and flicked it off. I wasn’t inside yet so I decided to dismiss it. I walked up the stairs and before you enter the rooms is a cute outdoor patio that is part of JOJO. I checked it out and saw a rat. I tried to get a photo but it ran away. I alerted the manager Carol.
I went out again around 10 pm to get McDonalds, but changed my mind and walked back to my room. I checked out the patio again, and either saw a new rat or the same rat and got a photo of it. I went back to my room, and saw a small roach on my bed. At that point I decided I wanted to leave, but everything else was price surged so I stayed. I left by 8 am and asked Carol if I could check out remotely because I did not feel comfortable leaving my bags there. She made me come back to complete check out in person.
She told me she couldn’t see the rat in the photo I sent her, so I zoomed in for her. She told me the hotel had no problems before, and almost implied I brought the rats and roaches. I asked for a partial refund at the very least ($130 USD was way to much for such an unsanitary hotel). She said her team would think it over but didn’t get back to me.
