Great hospitality from the staff.
Breakfast was good but a little overpriced for a basic continental spread. I would have expected the continental breakfast to be included with the room rate.
Dinner in the restaurant was fabulous! I would love to dine there again.
When I got my final bill for my stay (room and breakfast) I was asked if I wanted to add further gratuity to it which was a little surprising and made me feel a bit awkward. I had tipped well for the dinners already. So I’m not entirely sure why I was being asked to pay additional gratuity. I did so anyway to avoid the awkwardness.
Please note the room I stayed (Boheme) was very small and in my view suitable for 1 adult. The bath is literally a bath and the shower is not useable as it has a short cord and probably used for cleaning only. So there is no practical shower to use in this room. Bathroom has low eaves ceilings so not good for tall people.
Lavenham itself is very pretty but a little busy!
