My experience at easyHotel Liverpool was extremely disappointing and unsafe.
When we first checked in, our room had not been cleaned—the bed was unmade, the shower was dirty, and the bins were still full from the previous guests. After complaining, we were moved to another room, but this was just the beginning of a series of issues.
On our first night, a drunk man was shouting and arguing outside our room for hours. It felt incredibly unsafe, and when we tried to contact reception, we found there was no phone in the room. We had to search online for a contact number, only to discover that no one was there to answer. The hotel appears to be completely unmonitored overnight, which is a huge security risk.
The facilities themselves were just as bad. The shower water was cold, and the bins were not emptied. Even in rooms with windows, they do not open, making the space feel stuffy and uncomfortable. The heating was practically nonexistent, and we froze all night.
To make matters worse, on our last night, a drunk man had passed out outside the lift, blocking access. We couldn’t even get in or out, and an ambulance had to be called. Again, this reinforced how unsafe the hotel felt.
The smoking area is directly at the main entrance, so every time you walk in or out, you’re hit with cigarette smoke. There is no proper lobby or second space to sit, making the experience even more uncomfortable.
