So to start this review , whilst I have given this a 2 it isn’t a bad motel, however this is compared to other places we have stayed at and the price you pay.
I paid over $900 for 4 nights. What you are paying for is the location.
It is walking distance to the town centre. What has clearly happened is this quaint little town has been over run with billionaires which has pushed the price of everything up and I understand that.
This hotel was probably the cheapest in the town but still very expensive for what you get. I don’t know if this price is because of the rates they have to pay or whether they have hiked the price because of demand and location.
If it is the later which I think it will be , the level of accommodation should have been upgraded.
The beds were 2 queen beds and were the hardest and most uncomfortable, you couldn’t lay on your side it hurt so much.
We were on the ground floor and whilst the people above were not stomping every floorboard creaked when they moved even the slightest. So for 4 nights we had hardly any sleep.
The positives were the room was very clean and housekeeping came in every day and were brilliant.
The toilets are low to the ground they fill almost completely with water making peeing standing up or wiping whilst sitting very unwise decisions. The shower head was way too low even for my wife who is 5,6.
It just wasn’t comfortable or worth the price, but little choice if you want to stay in town and I think they know that.
