So bad, it didn’t even have a bible
Wow what can I say. Based on the price and location I was not expecting the Ritz Carlton, however I have never had such a bad experience. Traveled here for the Penn State game and when we arrived for check in at 9:30pm there was nobody in the office, no way of calling and actually getting a hold of anyone live to speak with. Went next door to Scheetz to see if they were able to contact their neighbor. They attempted but “she” never answered. Was told that the worker there had told the folks working at Scheetz that whoever shows up after she leaves is out of luck. Eventually she did show up and checked us in.
Then we went to the rooms. Hallways wreaked of smoke, doors to the hallways were not secured and there was a little sign at the top of the steps indicating that the one portion of the 2nd floor was closed due to reconstruction. Doors to the room must be from the 70’s with old style key for entry.
When we entered we found the curtains tattered and not able to be completely hung on the rod allowing the large parking lot light to shine through. The bed itself was not bad to sleep on, however there was no top sheet, just the fitted sheet then a very rough tattered blanket that must also be a holdover from the 70’s. I moved the center night stand forward to plug my cell phone in and there was debris all over the floor, under the bed and under and behind the night stand.
Shower had shampoo residue and hair in the walls, towels and washcloth sparse and see thru.
