The owner is very pleasant, and will tell you about nearby attractions and things to do. (Note: he only speaks French.) There is a little village nearby (with a couple restaurants, only open certain days of the week). The owner will make you dinner upon request (fixed menu). Breakfast consists of coffee/tea/hot chocolate, juice, a croissant, baguette, and home-made marmelade.
Parking is easy, in front of the building. There is an outdoor eating area for summer, but we ate indoors, as it was quite chilly in Sept.
The scenery is beautiful, amongst the mountains. Hiking is available in the nearby hills, and also from Castellane (20-minute drive) and the Verdon Gorge (40-minute drive). Castellane is the nearest significant town, with gas station, tourist office (with hiking maps), restaurants, supermarket, and lots of white water rafting tour companies.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
