We booked this hotel mainly because of its location; right in the central plaza. No disappointment there and despite being in the middle of everything It was very quiet. Room 6 however, where we stayed, is next to a communal toilet so lots of traffic past the door, ( workmen?). The first problem was parking - the listing says there is parking. What this means is that if there's an empty space on the street you can park there. Checking in was OK but the receptionist had a horrible cold and kept touching her nose in between passing me change, a receipt, pen etc. Next step - go to room and wash hands! Listing says "complimentary toiletries", not true, no soap. To his credit the manager did go down the street and came back with two guest sized bars which lasted us for our four day stay. Coffee in the lobby 24 hours a day did not materialize and there was none at all to be found on the morning we left - no ground coffee available. Listing says there is a spa on the premises so I thought I'd get a pedicure - my request was met with shrugs. I asked if they could tell me where I could get one, more shrugs. I should add that I speak enough Spanish to get by for these simple things. More shrugs from both manager and female receptionist. Heading down the street I found a salon within 50 meters and asked the lady how long she'd been there. 30 years was the proud reply! I could go on but Expedia won't let me write more! Stay here for the location, nothing else.
