2/10 Mediocre

Expedia should know Nyali Luxury Suites doesn’t exist and the real name is The Palms. It cost me buchu $$ in taxi for the confusion in the late hours of night. The owner was stingy with the electric and lied to us and told us that the air-conditioning/hot water wasn’t working. She told us to be mindful of the kilowatts that we’re using. It was discovered(By me) that the circuit breaker was turned off so that customers cannot use the air-conditioning/hot water heater. And it was well hotter(stinky stuffy) than inside than outside at first, until I flipped the breaker on. Every amenity was working below minimal functioning. The fridge/freezer settings were turn down extremely to low for our groceries. The laundry room door was locked. A 4 bedrooms/bathrooms condo had one roll of toilet and no paper towels. The owner didn’t informed us of the check out time(10am) and called and demanded Ksh per 30 minutes. We scrambled to gather our belongings and were out by 11am only to be confronted by guards at the gate and detained us while we had a waiting Uber. The guard explained that the owner is enroute and we must sit down and wait. At that time, I went totally ballistic about the whole accommodation stay, I explained. The guard said we can go if I pay a tip for tea for him and his buddy. If I didn’t know better this experience is some sort of scam using someone’s home as Expedia hotel.
